A big thank you to all those that took part in the last post, the results blew me away quite frankly!
60 ❤️’s and 212 comments! Wow! 🎉
It looks like there are plenty of newbies out there who want to connect with others on this platform and start building their own tribe, which is what this Substack is all about.
It was amazing to see lots of real connections starting in the Comments section and hopefully most of you gained a few extra Subscribers!
What’s in a name?
Sometimes the name of a Substack gives no clue as to what it’s about, and it’s hard to summarise your own Substack in one sentence.
Let’s face it ‘Off on a Tangent’ could be about anything!
So although I have to work hard to persuade people to take a look at it in the first place, unlike something like ‘Best Chocolate Puddings’ which would naturally pull people in who like chocolate puddings, it does give me a licence to post about whatever I like.
My original intention was to go with the ‘scattergun’ approach and then pick out a few topics over time, but the reality is that I love the variety, so I’m not sure I’ll ever narrow it down, as my life is comprised of very different topics, as I’m sure is yours.
This week’s Call to Connect
Let’s go underneath the title of your Substack and find out what you’re actually posting about.
Use the Comments section of this post (below) to showcase your LATEST POST and find others who can help boost it:
Enter the Title of your latest post IN CAPS.
Enter the link to that post.
Enter a one sentence description of it.
Then scroll down the list to find other Posts that you like the sound of and ❤️ that Comment.
Go back and click through to the Posts that you’re most intrigued by, which will hopefully lead you to finding some new posts to ❤️ and Substacks to subscribe to.
The Comments list will naturally organise itself so that the ones which are ‘Liked’ the most will rise to the top and make them even easier to find.
The trick here is to get yours in early and then it will get the maximum exposure to fresh eyes.
I will be pushing this post out on Notes for the first week, so hopefully it will get at least 654 views (like the last one) if not more!
See you in the Comments! 😘

PS: Please ‘❤️’ below and Restack this post if you want to grow your Substack, as it will increase your visibility on Notes and help others find this post and join in the reciprocal boosting!
